About

The primary objective of the Title III service is to ensure that all English Learner (EL) students receive effective instruction to assist them with becoming English proficient. Title III services are provided in consultation with the Department of Public Instruction and the U.S. Department of Education-Office of Civil Rights. Services to districts include:
  • Paper flower cutouts with hello written in various languages
    Technical assistance for district-level planning and application
  • Technical assistance in the development of local plans and required policies
  • Assistance with alternative assessment measures and WSAS participation
  • Supportive library materials for classroom teachers and students
  • Assistance with the completion of the required paperwork for EL students
  • Parent and family involvement activity development
  • On-going/year-round professional development activities, including train the trainer for testing
  • Guidance for local administration of required tests
  • Quarterly networking meetings of district level EL coordinators
