Nominate a WIDA Fellow!

WIDA, in collaboration with the International Consortium for Multilingual Excellence in Education (ICMEE), announces a call for nominations for the first class of WIDA Fellows. All nominees must be exemplary teachers of bilingual and/or multilingual learners and must be willing to participate in the 2019 WIDA Fellows annual meeting. Self-nominations will not be accepted.

To nominate an educator, complete the WIDA Fellows Nomination form by March 15, 2019.

Information Pertaining to the Refuge School Impact Grant Application

The Department of Children and Families no later than 02/07/2019 by 4:00 PM, will be posting an Application Process on the DCF Website, applications for the Refugee School Impact #437004-G19-0001333 and Refugee Youth Mentoring #437004-G19-0001368.

The purpose of this notification is to provide notice to interested parties, to enable them to prepare and submit an electronic application for the Refugee School Impact Grant and or Refugee Youth Mentoring or both by 4:00 PM on Monday February 25, 2019. A conference call to address questions will take place Thursday February 14, 2019, from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, applicants with questions should send them to Ben York (benjamin.york@wisconsin.gov) prior to the call. WIDA Kindergarten Screener

Schools Are Needed to Field Test WIDA's New Screener for Kindergarten (see Kindergarten Screener Field Testing attachment)

WIDA is looking for schools to administer its new Kindergarten Screener to at least 20 students during one or two field testing windows throughout 2019 and early 2020. Contact your DPI reps if interested or to learn more.
