EL Professional Reading Resources

Are you looking for great articles on meeting the needs of English Learners? The December/January issue of Educational Leadership magazine is focused entirely on this topic! The issue is titled Building Bridges for ELLs and includes many great professional resources. Many of the articles are free and offer practical ideas for implementing best practices for English Learners. Public Comment Period for WIDA's new 2020 ELD Standards will run November 18 - December 15.

ACCESS Test Administration Training


CESA #11 is offering an ACCESS Test Administration Training on November 11. Anyone who will be administering the ACCESS test must recertify each year. Upcoming EL Workshop


CESA #11 is excited to offer a one day workshop Strengthening Educator Capacity for Improving Outcomes of English Learners.This workshop is designed to address ways to provide effective instruction for multilingual students, including those who may be new to Wisconsin schools.Teachers of all subject areas who have experience with multilingual learners, as well as those who have little experience with English Learners, will benefit from this learning opportunity.

EL Summer STEM Field Trip

This year's English Learner Summer STEM Field Trip will take place here at CESA 11 on July 25, 2019!


It is sponsored by the Title I Migrant Education Program (MEP) and 2018-19 Immigrant Children & Youth Grant and is open to all CESA 11 districts. 

The Science Museum of Minnesota will be presenting the opening program and breakout sessions, and we'll also have the mobile planetarium set up for guided astronomy sessions.
